Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is the inter-organizational electronic exchange of business documents in a structured, machine-processable format. The EDI process permits the direct computer-to-computer exchange of formatted business transactions between business partners and makes it possible for organizations to generate, receive and process large volumes of information, swiftly and with limited human intervention.
The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Administrative Services' Electronic Commerce Center invites trading partners and tape billers to explore the online Electronic Data Interchange Trading Partner Information Guide.
We offer a PDF version of the Information Guide for those who prefer a printed copy rather than an online version. Be aware that the PDF version will not allow for interaction or linking between websites. By using the PDF version, you will lose many of the benefits associated with an online manual.
