The links below lead to information from the Ohio Dept. of Job and Family Services (ODJFS), about Medicaid Managed Care, specifically:
Based on requirements set forth in Amended Substitute House Bill 66, on December 1, 2006, the ODJFS initiated the expansion of Medicaid managed care for a select portion of Aged, Blind and/or Disabled (ABD) individuals in the Northeast Managed Care Region.
To date, Medicaid managed care enrollment options have been expanded to include a select portion of Aged, Blind and Disabled (ABD) individuals in the Southwest, West Central, and Northwest Managed Care Regions. Enrollment of these individuals began in February 2007. In late February and early March 2007, the ABD managed care initiative is being expanded to individuals living in counties located in the East Central managed care region.
ODJFS will sponsor an informational training session in each Managed Care Region prior to the beginning of the enrollment deadlines established for individuals residing in the Regions. These sessions will include an explanation of the roles and responsibilities of the managed care plans (MCPs), County Boards of DODD, other community services, and ADAMHS/ADAS/CMHS boards, in assuring the success of this managed care expansion.
