It is a pleasure for me to welcome you to the ODMRDD website, and an honor to have been asked by Governor Ted Strickland to serve as Director of the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. I bring with me to the position more than 30 years of experience in working on behalf of people with disabilities and their families, and, in fact, I am a parent of an adult son who has developmental disabilities, so I understand first-hand some of the challenging issues faced by many individuals and families in Ohio.
